【摘要】:Thispracticeisintendedforthecollectionofsettleddustsamplesforthesubsequentmeasurementoftargetmetals.Thepracticeismeantforuseinthecollectionofsettleddustsamplesthatareofinterestinclearance,hazardevaluation,riskassessment,andotherpurposes.Thispracticeisrecommendedforthecollectionofsettleddustsamplesfromhard,relativelysmoothnonporoussurfaces.Thispracticeislesseffectiveforcollectingsettleddustsamplesfromsurfaceswithsubstantialtexturesuchasroughconcrete,brickwork,texturedceilings,andsoftfibroussurfacessuchasupholsteryandcarpeting.Collectionefficiencyformetalssuchasleadfromsmooth,hardsurfaceshasbeenfoundtoexceed75%(E1792).1.1Thispracticecoversthecollectionofsettleddustonsurfacesusingthewipesamplingmethod.Thesesamplesarecollectedinamannerthatwillpermitsubsequentextractionanddeterminationoftargetmetalsinthewipesusinglaboratoryanalysistechniquessuchasatomicspectrometry.1.2Thispracticedoesnotaddressthesamplingdesigncriteria(thatis,samplingplanwhichincludesthenumberandlocationofsamples)thatareusedforclearance,hazardevaluation,riskassessment,andotherpurposes.Toprovideforvalidconclusions,sufficientnumbersofsamplesshouldbeobtainedasdirectedbyasamplingplan.1.3Thispracticecontainsnotesthatareexplanatoryandarenotpartofthemandatoryrequirementsofthispractice.1.4ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Nootherunitsofmeasurementareincludedinthisstandard.1.5Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
