【摘要】:Manyofthefunctionalpropertiesofwax-treatedcorrugatedpaperboardandcartonsaredependentontheamountofwaxpresent.Inthecaseofwax-saturated,orwax-impregnated,paperboardtheprincipalconcerniswiththeweightofwaxusedrelativetotheweightofpaperboardpresent,thatis,theweightpercentcontentorpickup.Insomeapplicationsthesaturatingwaxmaybedepositedinthethreeelementsofthecorrugatedboardinsuchawayastoindividuallycontroltheamountineachelement,thatis,themediumandthetwofacings.Inthecaseofwax-coatedcorrugatedpaperboardtheprincipalconcernistheweightofwaxontheboardsurfaceperunitarea.Thefunctionalvaluesofthewaxcoatingasabarrieroradecorativecoatingaredependent,inpart,ontheamountofwaxinthecontinuoussurfacelayer,relativetotheareacovered.Theweightofcoatingrelativetotheweightofsubstrateisnotusuallyaconcernwithregardtoproductquality.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationoftheweightofwaxthatispresentinaspecimenofwax-treatedcorrugatedpaperboard.Thetestmethodisapplicabletospecimensthathavebeenwaxedbyeitherimpregnation(saturation)operationsorcoatingoperations,orcombinationsofsuchoperations.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Forprecautionarystatement,see5.4and7.2.
