MIL-STD-1461E, MILITARY STANDARD, AMMUNITION MANUFACTURERS AND THEIR SYMBOLS (5 NOV 1990)., This standard establishes and describes the manufacturer's identification symbol used in the lot numbers for all DOD contracted manufacture, renovation, or regrouping of ammunition and ammunition components. The usage of manufacturer's identification symbols is defined and described in MIL-STD-1168, Ammunition Lot Numbering.
